Service Req E511 error message

From epson The error message "Service Req E511" means that part of the photoconductor unit (PCU) called the transfer belt is not being detected.

The images in this article generally depict the AcuLaser C1100, but the procedures are the same for the AcuLaser CX11N, CX21N and all variants.

1. Power the printer off, wait 30 seconds, and then power it on again.
   If the error has cleared, print a document. If the error has not
   cleared, repeat this process and check if the error clears when you
   power on the printer again. Repeat this a maximum of three times if
   necessary. If the error returns after repeating this process three
   times, follow the steps below.


2. Remove the photoconductor unit (PCU).

• Turn the printer

• Then click RUN AdjProg.exe. for Epson Stylus RX650 from the extracted folder

• Choose Choose a special mode of adjustment

• Go to interview Then select waste Ink pad counter then click ok

• Initialization click the button to remove the Waste Ink Pad counter to zero

• Once you press the Initialize button, you can see the message is complete, so press the OK button

• To Read Status Press Cons Read, you can see the current counter value.

• Turn off the printer then turn it on again 5 seconds

• After you successfully reset, you can also change the date settings back to normal again

You will need a small screwdriver and small flashlight.
1.On rear
of the printer, you will see a small “U” shaped plug or cap, located on
the opposite side of the printer as the power cord. Pry this cover off.
2.
With a small flashlight (preferably one that you can hold in your mouth
in order to aim it and see so you can have free hands.) You will see a
small spindle with that has a brown colored belt around it. This is the
belt that carries the carriage (head) back and forth.
3. Just in
front of this spindle you will see the backside of the head assembly
(probably rectangular in shape). It is black plastic with a few notches
on the edge. Take a screwdriver and try and "gently" pry left and then
right kind of rocking the assembly back and forth (left and right). You
won't be able to actually move it much, the idea here is to just jiggle
it loose.)
4. After you wiggle this assembly a little, remove the screwdriver.
5.
Power on the printer and watch the assembly to see if it moves. If you
were successful you will see it move some to the right then the printer
will go thru some maneuvers and you will get a menu that will allow you
to print, and not the error.

If the printer has set for a while,
the heads may take several cleanings or you may need a new cartridge.
But hopefully, you will no longer have the General Error code.
